a total of 550 bucks

comments and concerns.

I7 chip is 100 bucks more then the one i choose and on average the mobo for the i7 are over 100 bucks more. Not loaded with cash to throw at this so that route is pretty much out of the question.

in reguards to? x4?

all fanboi things aside. The AMD 965 x4 is only behind the intel i7 (920) by a small margin. May or may not even be noticeable on most things i use a computer for. Both are a huge increase over my x2 6850. The 955 is even 60 bucks cheaper then the 965 @ $160 while the i7 is $300.

bang for buck...

Good job, man, you got same pc as me. Except I got a shitty EVGA GTS250. Swapping that shit for a Radeon 5850 ASAP.

should consider an i3 setup, highly overclockable and not very expensive

motherboards http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000280&Description=lga%201156&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=RATING

cpu's - great reviews.. crazy little overclockers, and its not hard to do - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000343&Description=i3&name=Processors%20-%20Desktops

oh, not downing the AMD chip either, just havent used one in a while, so find benchmarks on the i3's and AMD's and choose from there - the i3 will be a tad cheaper, which might be better to spend on a better video card or mobo, or just save the money

That seems like a pretty nice build for the price considering you don't have a lot of money to throw at it. I went with an i7 but I save a lot of money and I don't have any bills.

This is mine

I had to take out the 120mm fan on the side panel because the heatsink I bought is to large to allow it to fit.
